Follow the easy steps to unlock bootloader Moto E4:
Step 1: Download and install Moto E4 USB driver on your PC and enable USB debugging mode on your Moto E4 Smartphone by this guide and OEM unlocking in developer option . Now download and extract Fast-boot tool then press and hold shift key in the keyboard and right click on extracted Fast boot tool folder and select “Open command window here”. See in this image.
Step 2: Now connect your Moto E4 Smartphone with PC via USB cable and type adb reboot bootloader to boot your phone in the bootloader or fastboot mode. (if this CMD command is not work for reboot bootloader or fastboot mode, then switch off your Moto E4 and press volume up and power button. You will get a vibration and your device will boot in recovery mode, then you select Reboot to Bootloader. Now your device will enter Fastboot mode). When your phone in the bootloader or fastboot mode, then you type fastboot devicesin the command window then press enter key.
Note: This command show connected device in the command window and you can see your Smartphone serial number. If command window is not show your device serial number. Then install USB driver correctly or change your USB port of the PC.
Step 3: Type fastboot oem get_unlock_data in the command window then press enter key. This command will retrieve your unlock key codes and copy all codes in one line in notepad. See in the above image.
Step 4: Open official Motorola’s unlock bootloader site and create a free account or sign in by using Google+. Now paste the codes in the motorola’s site (step-6) and click on “Can my device be unlocked?” button. you also agree to be bound by the terms of the legal agreement and click on I Agree.
NOTE: If your device is unlockable, a blue “REQUEST UNLOCK KEY” button will appear. You will receive an email with your Unlock Key at the email address you used to register your account on Motorola’s unlock bootloader site. If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder to make sure it wasn’t sent there by mistake.

Step 5: Now copy your unlock key from your Motorola UNLOCK KEY email and type fastboot oem unlock UNLOCK_KEY in the command window then press enter key. ( Replace your unlock key with UNLOCK_KEY in the command). see in this image.
Step 6: Now your device will be reboot automatically, that means your device bootloader is successfully unlocked.
Steps to root Moto E4 and install TWRP recovery:
Step 1: Download and install Moto E4 ADB driver on your PC and enable USB debugging mode on your Moto E4 Smartphone by this guide . Download and copy SuperSU Zip file in the phone SD card. Now download and extract TWRP Recovery and Fast-boot tool and move TWRP Recovery (recovery.img) file in the Fast-boot tool folder. Then press and hold shift key in the keyboard and right click on extracted Fast boot tool folder and select “Open command window here”. See in this image.
Step 2: Now connect your Moto E4 Smartphone with PC via USB cable and type adb reboot bootloader to boot your phone in the bootloader or fastboot mode. Now your phone in the bootloader or fastboot mode, here you type fastboot devices in the command window then press enter key.
Note: This command show connected device in the command window and you can see your Smartphone serial number. If command window is not show your device serial number, then install USB driver correctly or change your USB port of the PC.
Step 3: If your Moto E4 connected, then type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img command in the command window and press enter key to flash TWRP recovery on Moto E4.
Step 4: Type fastboot boot recovery.img to boot in recovery mode. Now you are in TWRP recovery, After then tap on “Never show this screen on boot again” and Swipe allows modification.
Step 5: Go to wipe option, then tap on “Format data” and type “yes”. Now reboot your device in TWRP Recovery. After then copy Magisk.zip file and no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1.zip file on phone storage.
Step 6: Now Tap on install tab, then select “Magisk.zip/SuperSU” file from your save location on your phone internal or SD card and install this file. Now wipe cache and Dalvik cache then reboot your phone.
Note: you can use Magisk or SuperSU, both work fine.
Step 7: When your Phone boot, then go to Magisk Manager App. If you want to check your Mobile is rooted or not, then try this app Root checker.

How to unroot Moto E4:
